When Mister Brown and I come to A Patchwork to post, the caption in the field where we enter our text asks, “What’s on your mind?” Today I’ve decided to post just that:
America the Beautiful,
We’ve made ourselves the enemy of one another.
We’ve lost sight of the fact that we all want the same things; what’s best for ourselves, our loved ones, and each other – our fellow countrymen and women, near and far.
We’ve lost sight of the fact that “We, The People of the United States” are America.
We’ve forgotten that we’ve already learned whom these missights could only benefit; those who wish us to fail.
How aware are we of the fact that attentiveness, participation, and action are required of us to keep Democracy?
Each and every day, I hope we dodge the fate we seem determined to meet.
Let us all pursue the dream that is promised.
Let us all have life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
Let us be one nation, indivisible, with liberty, and justice for all.
Truly One of Yours,
A Sincerely Concerned Fellow American
